Weekly Wrap Up! (6/22/12)

- Id Software has released details on their remake of Doom 3. The game will be released on October 16th in North America and October 19th in Europe. The remake is being called the BFG Edition, and will include the Resurrection of Evil expansion as well as other lost levels. A nice addition is that your character will now have a flashlight mounted to your armor so you won't have to worry about switching from your flashlight to weapon like the original version. Doom 3: BFG Edition will be $39.99 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and $29.99 for the PC.

- Some info on possible dlc for Rage has shown up on PEGI's website. The dlc is being called "The Scorchers" which were a set of bandits not included in the final game.

- A rumored document serviced on the internet leaking details on the Xbox 720. The document listed a price point of $299, tablet integration, blu-ray disc drive, new Kinect sensor that allows four player support, and glasses that will allow players to view a heads up display via virtual reality. This of course is just rumors and the document has since been removed from the internet. It still sounds pretty sweet though!

- The PS2 hit Okami is being re-released for the PS3. This hd remake will include Playstation Move support and will be $19.99 on the Playstation Network this fall.

- Some info has finally come out on Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified for the Vita. Amazon and Walmart have the game listed for $49.96. The two sites also have a brief synopsis of the game stating it will consist of a campaign of spec op missions designed for gamers on the go. Also, multiplayer is listed as a component of the game.

- Looking for some different, atmospheric, and cool games? Flower, Flow, and Journey will soon be available all together on one disc for the PS3. These three games have only been digital downloads until now. No official price or release date has been announced yet. 

- The Mass Effect 3 extended ending dlc will be released on June 26th in North America, and on July 4th in Europe. The dlc will be a free 1.9 GB download add more information and closure to the endings of Mass Effect 3.

- Nintendo has announced the release of the 3DS XL. The new 3DS will have larger screens, longer battery life, come with a 4GB SD card, and will be available in blue, red, or silver (silver just in Europe). The 3DS XL will be released in North America on August 19th and July 28th in Europe, and will retail for $199.99 (picture below).
