Saddle up undead minions!
Welcome to Gamers On a Rant. We really hope you enjoy coming here to read our thoughts, feelings, and just general rants on video games. Our first blog is about the new DLC (down loadable content) for Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption. The latest DLC is called "Undead Nightmare" and it follows John Marston as he is thrust into a zombie outbreak. You'll meet old friends and are treated to new single player campaign missions that will take around six hours or so to complete.
The zombies are tough to get rid of unless you plant a nice head shot, which is the way zombies should be disposed of. They come at you in true zombie fashion. That being in hordes that seem to not end. You start with limited guns and ammo which only heightens the thrill. The entire atmosphere of the environment is eerie and gives you the sense of being in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Speaking of an apocalypse, you'll also get to hunt down and tame the four horses of the apocalypse. Each horse has a special ability which makes them even that much cooler.
There are new multiplayer modes like Undead Overrun, which just add that much more to the package. We have had a blast with this DLC and think it's worth the price of admission. We don't want to spoil everything for you if you haven't played it yet. It is 800 Microsoft points or $9.99 on the Playstation Network. So what are you waiting for? Slap on those boots, spurs, and chaps and let those zombie hordes know who the ruler of the open range is!
Side note: A stand alone disc of Undead Nightmare and all previously released Red Dead Redemption DLC will be released in stores on November 23rd for $29.99.

I am a HUGE fan of Red Dead and a fan of the zombie genre, so this add-on was way up my alley! Fantastic single player story, and great fun online. Well, well worth the $10. This is what downloadable content should consist of.
