Weekly Wrap Up! (11/1/13)
- South Park: The Stick of Truth has been delayed once again. Instead of releasing this December it is now scheduled to release on March 4, 2014 in North America and March 6, 2014 in Europe.
- Infinity Ward revealed a new mode for Call of Duty: Ghosts called Extinction. The Extinction mode plays like the traditional horde mode. A total of four players can team up and fight waves of aliens. Extinction mode will be available when Call of Duty: Ghosts launches on November 5th.
- Microsoft announced that a free trial of Kinect Sports Rivals will be available for download at the Xbox One launch. The trial will include the jet ski racing called wake racing. Players who download the trial between November 22-30 will be able to unlock special items like a new outfit, jet ski, and more. The full version of Kinect Sports Rivals is scheduled to release in spring 2014.
- Microsoft announced the next two free titles for the Games with Gold program. A World of Keflings will be downloadable from November 1-15, while Iron Brigade will be downloadable from November 16-30.
- Halo: Spartan Assault will be available digitally on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One sometime in December. Both Xbox versions will include online co-op along with new missions. The price of the game has not been announced as of now.
- DICE announced that the China Rising dlc pack for Battlefield 4 will be available to premium members on December 3. It's suspected that non premium members will be able to get the China Rising dlc on December 17.
- The TuneIn internet radio app is now available on the PS3, and will be available on the PS Vita next week.
- Nintendo announced that the special Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL edition will be available in North America on November 22. The special edition 3DS XL will cost $219.99.
- Infinity Ward confirmed that Call of Duty: Ghosts runs in 1080p on the PS4, and upscaled to 1080p from 720p on the Xbox One. Both the PS4 and Xbox One version run at 60 FPS.
- Ubisoft has confirmed that the extra content on the PS3 and PS4 versions of Assassin's Creed IV will indeed be exclusive to PlayStation. It's still unclear if the extra PlayStation content for Watch Dogs will still be exclusive.
- It was announced that Titanfall will be an exclusive title for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Respawn has said they have plans to be working on games for the PS4 too.
- Sony announced that content sharing via YouTube will not be available on the PS4 at launch, but it's still unknown if YouTube support will come at a later time. The PS4 will allow the sharing of recording videos via Facebook and gameplay videos through Ustream and Twitch. Sony also noted that stream archiving is only available through Twitch.
- Sony revealed in a large PS4 FAQ post that the PS4 will not accept external hard drives, play music CDs or support MP3 playback, nor will players be able to change their current PSN IDs.
- Sony announced the free PlayStation Plus games for the month of November. The free PS4 games are Contrast and Resogun. The free PS3 games are Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, Binary Domain, and Ibb and Obb. Finally, the free PS Vita games are Soul Sacrifice and Odd World: Stranger's Wrath.

- A season pass for Ryse: Son of Rome has been announced. The $20 season pass will give gamers access to four different dlc packs that will contain 14 multiplayer maps, different outfits, new level events, a new mode, and new weapons and armor.
- Ubisoft has officially dropped their online pass system for good, and the Uplay passports will no longer be a part of any Ubisoft game.
