Weekly Wrap Up! (1/18/20)

- Much to everyone's disappointment, CD Projekt Red announced that their highly anticipated game, Cyberpunk 2077, has been delayed until September 17, 2020. While the developer stated the game is complete and playable, they stated there was still more work to do on the game. Also, when asked about the multiplayer portion of the game, CD Projekt Red said not to expect it for a couple years.

- It was revealed that while the Nintendo Switch was the best selling console in 2019, the PlayStation 4 was the best selling console of the decade.

- Crytek's Hunt: Showdown will be releasing on the PS4 on February 18, alongside a physical copy for the Xbox One, which to this point has only been available digitally on Xbox. Also, Crytek said they are working to add cross-play between the Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game.

- Crystal Dynamics announced that the Marvel's Avengers game has been delayed until September 4, 2020 in order to provide more time for development.

- A new gameplay trailer for Doom Eternal was launched earlier this week and shows off the game's fast paced demon slaying action.

- While Sony confirmed that they will not be at E3 this year, Microsoft reaffirmed that they would still be holding a press conference at the convention.

- In another game delay for this year, Final Fantasy VII Remake has been delayed by a month, and is now scheduled to release on April 10, 2020.

- As if Fortnite and streamer Ninja didn't go hand in hand enough, Epic released a new limited time player skin based on Ninja's likeness that will be available until January 19. Epic stated this is the first of the Icon Series which will feature other top content creator likenesses.
- Two streamers on Twitch, Loserfruit and Fasffy, held a 24 hour stream and raised over $200K for Australian Fire Relief charities.

- Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the latest character joining the roster of fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on January 28.

- If you were wanting more of a reason to fear Nemesis than you're in luck! A new trailer for Resident Evil 3 is here to give you all the Nemesis love you need.

- According to a ratings leak, the Bioshock series could be headed to the Nintendo Switch. However, neither Nintendo or publisher 2K Games have commented on the information.

- Respawn released a new update for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order that unlocked some cosmetic items. Previously only available to people who pre-ordered the game, now the orange lightsaber blade color and two lightsaber hilts are available to everyone.

- Get your daily dose of anime action with the official Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot launch trailer! The game is available now on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

- Developer V1 Interactive stated they will be having a closed beta test of their upcoming game Disintegration on January 28 and 29. Also, a public beta will be held during January 31 to February 1 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. You can still sign up for the public beta at their website here: Disintegration Beta

- The new Battle Rally DLC for Shenmue 3 will be released on January 21 and will cost $8. However, if you own the collector's edition of the game it will be a free update. The new DLC will feature a new event in the form of a competitive combat relay race, and allow the ability to play as both Ryo and Wei Zhen.

- The PSVR exclusive game Iron Man VR has been delayed from February 28 until May 15.

- Players of The Elder Scrolls Online will get to visit Skyrim once again in the upcoming season of content for Bethesda's MMORPG beginning with the Harrowstorm DLC in March, and later the Greymoor chapter in June. Check out the trailer below!
