Weekly Wrap Up! (4/13/19)


- Blizzard announced that the Storm Rising event for Overwatch will begin next week. The event will begin April 16 and last until May 6 and will feature a special PvE mission similar to the Uprising and Retribution events in the past, and also include special themed loot boxes.

- Call of Duty Black Ops 4 has added a new combat record feature through the Call of Duty companion app and website. Players can use the record feature to access a variety of stats on previous matches.

- Interested in trying out The Elder Scrolls: Blades on your Android or iOS device? Good news! Bethesda announced earlier this week that anyone with a Bethesda.net account can download and access the game for free.

- The latest vehicles added to the Crew 2 roster for the month of April were revealed this week for season pass owners. The two new vehicles include the 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 and the 2018 Suzuki GSX-R 10000R.


- A new update for Red Dead Online added the Plunder Showdown mode. In Plunder teams will be tasked with collecting supplies from one location and bringing it back to their team's base. Team's will also be able to steal supplies from other team's bases.

- The excellent voice actor Troy Baker unfortunately confirmed that he won't be lending his voice once again to the character Rhys in Borderlands 3.

- Sony filed a patent for VR compatible prescription glasses that would track eye movement and work with the PlayStation VR headset. This would enable users who wear prescription lenses the ability to use the PlayStation VR headset with better performance. 

- The latest DLC for We Happy Few launched this week on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The They Came from Below DLC features a brand new story that takes characters Rogers and James into a secret underground facility with alien robot enemies.


- The once Nintendo Switch exclusive JRPG Octopath Traveler will soon be coming to the PC on June 7.

- Activision announced that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice sold over 2 million copies in 10 days across Xbox, PS4, and PC.

- The next batch of games for the Xbox Game Pass program for the month of April was revealed this week. The games include: Monster Hunter World, Prey, Golf Club 2, Walking Dead: A New Frontier, Life is Strange 2, and Resident Evil 5.

- The zombie horde adventure Days Gone is only two weeks away from launch and a brand new tv commercial launched this week. Days Gone launches April 26 on PS4. Check it out!


- Sony announced that players would be able to change their PlayStation Network ID name. The first time will be free, and any additional changes will cost $9.99.

- Dontnod Entertainment revealed that their game Vampyr has sold one million copies since its launch, and that they have renewed their publishing deal with Focus Home Interactive.

- Respawn Entertainment and EA revealed the first trailer and details on the upcoming game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order during Star Wars Celebration. The game was confirmed to be a single player story based game, and is set to release on November 15.
