Weekly Wrap Up! (10/27/17)
- Analyst at the NPD Group revealed that not only was Destiny 2 the best selling game in September, it is currently the best selling game for 2017 so far.
- Developer 343 Industries said they are working on releasing some new updates to Halo: The Master Chief Collection to improve the networking and matchmaking of the game's multiplayer, overall game performance, as well as releasing visual enhancements for the Xbox One X.
- Bandai Namco announced that Dragon Ball FighterZ will release on January 26, 2018 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. An open beta is still planned before the game's launch, but no specific date has been announced as of now.
- According to the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Twitter page, a physical copy of the game will be available to purchase alongside the Xbox One release.
- Bungie announced that the PC version of Destiny 2 would still offer aim assist for anyone playing the game with a controller. While keyboard a mouse players may have concern over this, Bungie has stated that aim assist on the PC will be available at launch, but they will continue to listen to player feeback.
- The nightmare inducing Freddy Krueger has joined the cast of killers in Dead by Daylight on Steam as part of the A Nightmare on Elm Street DLC.
- Nintendo of America President, Reggie Fils-Aime, confirmed that the Champions' Ballad DLC pack for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will still release this sometime this year.
- Koei Tecmo revealed that Attack on Titan 2 will allow players to create their own custom scout character, as well as more advanced Titan A.I and Town Life gameplay. Attack on Titan 2 is scheduled to release in March 2018 for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
- The once Xbox and Windows PC exclusive, Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, will be available on the PS4 digitally on November 8 and in retail stores on November 10 for $20.
- Nintendo announced that the SNES edition of the Nintendo 3DS XL will be releasing in North America on November 27 and includes a digital copy of Super Mario Kart. It's available for pre-order now on Amazon and will cost $200.
- Injustice 2 will be releasing on PC sometime later this fall, but an open beta for the game is now available through Steam.
- Microsoft confirmed that they are no longer producing the Kinect. Microsoft has stated they will continue to support customers who own or purchase a Kinect.
- Steam now offers digital gift cards to be purchased in order to make all your PC gaming purchases even easier.
- Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet will be getting a collector's edition that includes statues of Kirito and Sinon, a cloth map, and art book. No pricing for the collector's edition has been announced, and the game is scheduled to release on February 23 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
- Konami confirmed that Metal Gear Survive will be releasing in the United States on February 20, and in Europe on February 22 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
- Assassin's Creed Origins has officially launched and Ubisoft released a brand new trailer earlier this week. Encase you missed it, check it out below.
