Weekly Wrap Up! (12/3/16)


- BioWare revealed that the multiplayer component of Mass Effect Andromeda will have some tie-ins with the game's single player story, but they do not want to force players to take part in multiplayer if they don't wish to.

- The latest update for The Division released this week on PS4, a week after it released on the Xbox One and PC. The 1.5 brings the world tier feature, higher level NPCs, named gear items, and more.

- The Blizzard Mountain expansion for Forza Horizon 3 will release on December 13. The expansion will include a snowy mountain setting, 50 new campaign challenges and events, eight new vehicles, 28 achievements, and the new Blizzard, Hill Climb, and Descent race modes.

- The strange game Let it Die from Suda 51 and Grasshopper Games had a new trailer at the PlayStation Experience. Even better, the game is available now for free to download on the PlayStation Store.


- Ubisoft released the Year 2 season pass for Rainbow Six Siege this week. The season pass will allow users to obtain VIP status until February 7, 2018. VIP members also get access to new operatives a week before anyone else, discount in the shop, and more. The season pass will also include eight new operators, headgear and uniforms customizations, and more.

- Red Dead Redemption will be playable on the PS4 through the PlayStation Now service on Decemeber 6. Sony also stated that players can play the game on either the PS4 or PC.

- A new patch for Skyrim Special Edition was released on the Xbox One that allows support for high dynamic range (HDR) and other features and improvements. The new patch requires a 5.9GB download.

- Respawn Entertainment released the latest map for Titanfall 2 this week for anyone who pre-ordered the game (December 3 for everyone else). The latest map is the fan favorite Angel City from the original Titanfall. Check out the trailer below!


- Ubisoft recently confirmed that they will support cross platform play between the PSVR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive VR headsets. Ubisoft specifically mentioned the VR titles Werewolves Within, Eagle Flight, and Star Trek: Bridge Crew.

- Sony revealed the free PlayStation Plus games for the month of December. On the PS4 players can grab Stories: Path of Destinies and Invisible Inc. The PS3 will be getting Tiny Troopers: Joint Ops and Hyper Void. Finally, the PS Vita will be getting Color Guardians and VVVVVV. All these games will be downloadable in the PS Store beginning December 6.

- Information leaked this week on NeoGAF stating that Valve's winter Steam sale will begin on December 22 and run until January 2. Valve has yet to confirm theses dates.

- The Coalition announced that this weekend (December 2-5), Xbox One and Windows 10 players will be able to test out cross-platform competitive multiplayer on Gears of War 4.

- The Last of Use Part II was officially revealed during the PlayStation Experience and to build up even more hype, a trailer was released featuring the main protagonists Joel and Ellie.


- EA revealed that they will be taking a break from the Battlefield series for a few years. Instead they will be focusing on developing the next Star Wars Battlefront that is scheduled to release sometime in late 2017.

- Microsoft revealed the free Games With Gold games for the month of December. The Xbox One will be getting Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition and Outland. Last month's free game Murdered Soul Suspect is still free until December 15. The Xbox 360 will be getting Outlast and Burnout Paradise.

- Developer Ninja Theory announced that their latest game Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has been delayed until 2017.

- At the 2016 Game Awards BioWare released a new trailer full of gameplay footage from Mass Effect Andromeda. It's safe to say the game is looking pretty awesome. Check it out!


- Final Fantasy XV just released this week on Xbox One and PS4 and has already been the fastest selling game in the series. Square Enix revealed that between both digital and physical copies, a total of 5 million copies were shipped on day one.

- The rogue-like game The Flame in the Flood will be coming to the PS4 in January 2017 with some exclusive content such as director's commentary, a PS4 theme, and avatars.

- Rockstar revealed the latest update coming to GTA 5 called Import/Export. In the new update players will be able to obtain, customize, and resell some of the much sought after cars. There will also be new criminal pursuits and storage warehouses where people can store up to 60 cars. The Import/Export update is scheduled to release sometime this month as a free update on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
