Weekly Wrap Up! (9/17/16)


- The Last Guardian has been delayed but don't freak out just yet. The game has only been delayed until December 6 in the US, December 7 in Europe, and December 9 in the UK and Ireland. The delay was issued for more time to polish the game a fix bugs that were not anticipated.

- Microsoft revealed some new Xbox One S and Battlefield 1 bundles. The 500GB white console model comes with a controller, a downloadable copy of Battlefield 1, and a month of EA Access for $299. A special grey model will be available for pre-order in the US only and features all the same content as the white console bundle for $299. Finally a military green version will be available that features a 1TB hard drive for $349.

- Hideo Kojima revealed that his upcoming game Death Stranding will be in an open world setting and will include co-op elements. Kojima also stated that the studio is planning on implementing support for 4K and HDR as well.

- EA announced that the Death Star DLC for Star Wars Battlefront will be available on September 20 for all season pass owners. The Death Star DLC will be made for individual purchase two weeks later. Take a look at the awesome new trailer.


- Campcom revealed via the Resident Evil 7 Twitter page that the game will have specific retail pre-order bonuses, but the game will not have microtransactions.

- Square Enix announced that they have delayed the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 until January 12 for Japan, and January 28 for the west.

- Nintendo revealed a Pokemon Sun and Moon themed 3DS XL that will release on October 28 for $199.99.


- The demo disc included with the PSVR headset will contain 18 demos in North America, and 8 demos in Europe. Here's the full list of the demos on the PSVR disc:

- Sega announced an awesome looking collector's edition for Sonic Mania. The collector's edition includes a statue of Sonic on a Sega Genesis, metallic card with game code, and a Sega game catridge with gold ring. Sonic Mania is scheduled to release in Spring 2017.


-  Following the announcement of the PS4 Pro, Capcom has revealed that Resident Evil 7 will feature support for 4K and HDR for anyone playing on the PS4 Pro.

- Developer Remedy (Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quantum Break) announced that they will be expanding into multiplayer and co-op gaming. 

- In even more Resident Evil 7 news, the demo on the PS4 was updated and is now being called the "Twilight Version." The update brought new areas and items to the demo.


- The Destiny: Rise of Iron expansion will allow players to purchase experience boosts with real money. Alternatively, players can earn the experience boost items in game by finding them in Sterling Treasure Boxes or Radiant Treasures. The experience boost will work in the Crucible, House of Judgement, and Vanguard play.

- Ubisoft announced that South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed until early 2017.

- A combo edition of Pokemon Sun and Moon will be released alongside the separate versions of the games for $79.99. The combo edition will include both games and a code to unlock 100 Poke Balls for each game.

- A new trailer for Dishonored 2 was released showing off some gameplay of one of the game's main characters, Corvo Attano. Dishonored 2 launches November 11 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
