Game Spotlight: Battleborn

It's been quite some time since a "Game Spotlight" has been posted on the blog site so we're bringing it back. The humorous game developers at Gearbox Software have been working on a whole new IP called Battleborn and it's ready for the masses. Battleborn blends first person shooter combat and mechanics into a MOBA style multiplayer gameplay. Players can take the role of 25 different "Battleborn" heroes and each one is completely different than the other in terms of weapons, perks, combat style, and of course looks.

Battleborn multiplayer features three different games modes: Incursion, Capture, and Meltdown. In Incursion players will work together to defend their base from both AI and actual player enemies, while also trying to take down the opponent's base. The Capture mode functions much like a deathmatch mode were players also have to capture and hold certain objectives. Finally, the Meltdown mode has players escorting their team's AI players to the center of the map and trying to get them to run into a giant incinerator. The team with the most incinerated AI players and points wins.

If you want to take a break from the PvP combat, Battleborn also features a full campaign mode that can be played solo, or team up with friends online or even in splitscreen (PS4 and Xbox One). Leveling up your favorite characters is a must and Battleborn lets you do just that. Each character can be leveled simultaneously between the campaign and multiplayer up to unlock new abilities, weapons, character skins and more. Battleborn is available now on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Check out the launch trailer below and get out there and show the world what your hero is made of!
