Weekly Wrap Up! (12/11/15)


- CD Projekt Red has stated that they are planning on releasing their game Cyberpunk 2077 by the end of 2016.

- Developer Psyonix revealed that the Xbox One version of Rocket League will not feature cross-platform play. Rocket League will release for Xbox One in February 2016.

- Minecraft will release on the Wii U on December 17 for $30. The Wii U version will support off-TV play which allows gamers to play the game on the gamepad.

- Rally racing fans will be glad to know that Dirt Rally is available now on Steam for PC, while the Xbox One and PS4 versions will release on April 5, 2016.

- Blizzard announced that all post launch maps and characters for their upcoming game Overwatch will be free.

- Bungie has revealed that they will be focusing on smaller event based content instead of large DLC packs for future support of The Taken King. Bungie says they are going with this model of content so that everyone who owns The Taken King can enjoy the new content, and that it will help keep the game exciting for players.

- The Xbox One and PS4 versions of Gone Home will release on January 12, 2016. Developer Fullbright released an announcement trailer that you can check out below.


- Microsoft is allowing Xbox Gold members the chance to play The Elder Scrolls Online for free this weekend. Any character progression and achievements unlocked will remain after the free trial, and Microsoft has said they will offer the game at a discount.

- Capcom announced that Resident Evil 0 Remastered will release on January 19. It will be available for $19.99 on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

- Sony is offering free online play features this weekend for all PS4 owners. Anyone who does not have a PlayStation Plus account can take advantage of the online multiplayer features for free, but the free PlayStation Plus games are not part of the weekend trial.

- Do you love emotes for your Guardian? If so, you'll be pleased to know that emotes can now be earned as a random nightfall reward in Destiny.

- Bethesda has opened a new gaming studio in Montreal, Quebec to expand their development in console, PC, and mobile gaming.

- ARK: Survival Evolved will be available through the Xbox Game Preview Program for $34.99 on December 16. All of the content that is available on the PC version with the Xbox One preview version. The full version of the game will be available in June 2016.

- Pre-orders the Oculus Rift will include a copy of EVE Valkyrie. The Oculus and EVE Valkyrie bundle is scheduled to release during the first quarter of 2016.

- The Jack the Ripper DLC for Assassin's Creed: Syndicate will be available on Xbox One and PS4 on December 15. The DLC will be available on the PC on December 22. The Jack the Ripper DLC will cost $15 on its own, or is part of the $30 season pass. Encase you missed the trailer for the DLC, check it out below.
