Weekly Wrap Up! (9/4/15)
- Bethesda shared via Twitter that Fallout 4 has more than 111,000 lines of dialogue recorded, and that is more than Skyrim and Fallout 3 had combined.
- Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will officially release on March 18, 2016. On top of the release date, two new editions of the game were announced. The $80 Special Edition will include a Steelbook case, a Naughty Dog and Pirate Sigil sticker sheet, a hard cover art book, and Naughty Dog points used to unlock in-game multiplayer content.
The $120 Libertalia Collector's Edition includes everything from the Special Edition, plus a 12" Nathan Drake statue, three multiplayer outfits, the Madagascar sidekick outfit, two custom weapon skins, and the Henry Avery Sigil ball cap for in-game use.
- Carbine Studios announced that WildStar will officially go free to play on September 29.
- Bethesda revealed that Monopoly: Fallout Collector's Edition will release in November to coincide with the release of Fallout 4 the game. The board game will include locations from all Fallout games. It will be exclusive to GameStop in the U.S.
- The Taken King Director, Luke Smith, announced that the expansion's "King's Fall" raid will not be included on day one of the September 15 launch, but would instead be available on September 18 starting at 10:00 AM Pacific. Bungie also released a teaser trailer for the raid.
- Fans of the Call of Duty map "Nuketown" will be glad to know that it will be coming to Black Ops 3 (though slightly redesigned) for free for anyone who pre-orders the game on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
- EA revealed that the beta for Star Wars Battlefront will be coming to the Xbox One, PS4, and PC in early October. The beta will include the co-op Survival Mission on Tattooine, the newly revealed Drop Zone mode, and the 40 player Walker Assault on Hoth mode.
- The opening cinematic for Halo 5: Guardians was released this week. Check it out Spartans!
- It was revealed that Borderlands will be one of the many Xbox 360 games that will be backwards compatible with the Xbox One starting in November (Xbox One Preview Program members can try it now). All Borderlands DLC, save files, and achievements will carry over.
- Microsoft announced a new Xbox One Elite bundle. The Xbox One Elite will come with a 1TB Solid State Drive that will increase game download speeds by 20 percent, and comes with the new Elite controller. This will set you back $500 and can be pre-ordered on Microsoft's site here: Xbox One Elite Pre-Order
- A new Uncharted PS4 bundle will be available on October 9. The bundle will include a 500GB PS4 and a digital copy of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for $400.
- The smaller Nintendo 3DS system that was only available in Japan, Europe, and Australia is coming to the U.S as a bundle. The bundle includes the new 3DS, the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer game, two cover plates, and one Amiibo card for $220. The new 3DS bundle will be available on September 25.
- If you missed out on the 2013 Deadpool game then worry no more. A remastered version will be releasing on the Xbox One and PS4 on November 17. The new version will include all DLC, two new suits, and two new levels for $50.
- The new "Lunar White" Xbox One controller will release this month exclusively at GameStop for $65, and it does look pretty snazzy.
