Most Anticipated of E3 2015
Well fellow gamers, the summer heat is creeping in, the sunshine is plentiful, and of course, E3 is just days away! Once again the gaming community will excitedly gather around their TVs, tablets, computers, and whatever device they have to catch all the latest news on upcoming games and more. As far as the big Microsoft and Sony conferences, they are in a similar boat. Both the Xbox One and PS4 have long been released, so both of their conference are going to have to be all about the bass...I mean games. Here are the games, announcements, and other things I'm most excited for with E3 2015.
Microsoft Press Conference:
As mentioned above, Microsoft won't be announcing any new console information. They already announced the new 1TB version of the Xbox One that comes with the new controller for $399. So that news is already out of the way. A partnership with Oculus was announced earlier this week, so it will be interesting to see if Microsoft shows off anymore footage or info about that. We'll no doubt see more footage of Forza Motorsport 6, Halo 5: Guardians, and while it's a timed exclusive, Microsoft will be touting Rise of the Tomb Raider. Also, I'm excited to see if the new Gears of War is revealed during their conference. I was really hoping to see more of Crackdown, but unfortunately Microsoft is waiting until Gamescom in August, as well as Quantum Break and Scaledown. Also, I'm interested to see how Microsoft will be integrating Windows 10, the PC, and Xbox One together.
Sony Press Conference:
While some of Sony's first part titles have been delayed until next year, I still think they may have some tricks up their sleeves. It would be amazing if they revealed The Last Guardian. The gaming community would completely freak out. Hey, it could happen. While Destiny is not a PlayStation exclusive, I have a feeling that Bungie will be at Sony's conference to show off the Taken King expansion and reveal some PlayStation timed exclusive goodies. I'm also interested to see if Sony shows off any more footage or info regarding their virtual reality headset Morpheus. Sony will more than likely show off more footage of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, as well as the Uncharted HD collection. While I have enjoyed many indie games and support them, I hope Sony doesn't divulge a huge amount of time with showing the sales figures of how well the PS4 has sold and how many people are playing online with their PS4. We already know that stuff. Finally I'm interested to see more on the horror title Until Dawn which has been announced will be shown at E3.
While there will be a ton of games shown at this year's E3, here's a list of the games I'm most looking forward to (no particular order):
Destiny: The Taken King Expansion
Halo 5: Guardians
Fallout 4
Star Wars Battlefront
The Division
Mass Effect 4
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
Gears of War (new)
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Mad Max
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Batman: Arkham Knight
Mirrors Edge: Catalyst
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
Rock Band 4
Battleborn
Doom 4
The stage is set starting tomorrow with Bethesda's conference, with the main E3 show beginning Monday morning with Microsoft. Here's a breakdown of the conference and their times (all times listed are Pacific Time):
