Weekly Wrap Up! (2/27/15)
- Get ready to grab a fresh pair of underwear because Slender: The Arrival is coming to the PS4 and Xbox One. The horror game will release digitally on March 24th on the PS4, and March 25th on the Xbox One. Both versions will cost $10.
- Microsoft confirmed that the upcoming Lionhead Studios game Fable Legends will be free to play. Of course players will have to have a Xbox Live Gold subscription.
- The free to play Dungeons and Dragons MMORPG Neverwinter will officially release on March 31st on the Xbox One.
- Bungie revealed a new Crucible mode for Destiny known as "Inferno." The inferno mode will change the way people play the game and the tactics they use. For example, the tracker will be removed, as well as not having any radar in the HUD, and many more. The inferno mode will be available on March 3rd. - The Far Cry 4 DLC Valley of the Yetis will release on March 10th in the US, and March 11th in Europe. Players can play the DLC either solo or in co-op. The DLC is part of the $30 season pass, or you can buy it separately.
- Microsoft revealed the free Games With Gold games for the month of March. The Xbox 360 will get Tomb Raider and BioShock Infinite. The Xbox One will get Rayman Legends.
- Fans of Minecraft and The Simpson rejoice! The Simpson Minecraft pack is now available on the Xbox One and Xbox 360. The pack features 24 characters and costs $3. Microsoft said the pack will be available on other platforms at a later date.
- Love MOBAs? Good! Bandai Namco announced their new MOBA called Supernova. The game is being developed by Primal Game Studio, and puts players either in the role of humans or aliens battling it out. Supernova is said to be more real-time strategy based with a lot of customization for your troops. Supernova is set to release on PC sometime this year.
- The first piece of story based DLC for The Evil Within will release on March 10th. The DLC is called The Assignment and puts players in the role of detective Julie Kidman. The Assignment DLC is part of the game's season pass, or can be purchased separately for $10.
- Bungie released an update to the Destiny app that now allows players the ability to move items to and from your vault and between your characters.
- Guild Wars 2 will be getting an all new first-person mode in the upcoming March 10th update.
- Warner Bros has released a new trailer for the upcoming game Batman: Arkham Knight. If you weren't already excited for this game, just check out the trailer. Batman: Arkham Knight is set to release on June 2 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
