- Halo: The Master Chief Collection will require a 20GB day one update. 343 Industries stated, "Yes, the update is large, but we weren’t about to cut corners to save disc space."
- Ubisoft announced that a PC version of Assassin's Creed Rogue will release sometime early next year. Ubisoft would not comment on whether or not Assassin's Creed Rogue would make its way onto the Xbox One or PS4.
- Bungie revealed that there's an average of 3.2 million players on Destiny each day since it's September 9 release. Bungie also stated the average play time is around three hours.
- The Narrative Director of Far Cry 4 stated that the game can take anywhere from 15 to 60 hours to complete with all of the side quests, outposts, exploration, and more.
- Season 2 DLC of Killer Instinct was released this week. Season 2 adds TJ Combo, Maya, and more new characters to the roster of fighters. Also, balancing fixes, graphical enhancements, and more are part of season 2. Check out the launch trailer below.
- Far Cry 4 Director Alex Hutchinson stated that they are targeting 1080p on both Xbox One and PS4.
- The new Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL sold more than 230,000 units in its launch weekend in Japan. The new 3DS and 3DS XL will release sometime in 2015 in North America and Europe.
- The upcoming firmware 2.0 update for the PS4 will include features such as custom themes, new voice commands for the PlayStation camera, USB support to play music files, an "Add to Library" feature, and much more. No official release date has been given other than it will be very soon.
- 343 Industries confirmed that Master Chief will be the main character in Halo 5: Guardians, but that Agent Locke will also be a primary character as well.
- An Assassin's Creed Xbox One bundle will be available on November 2 in North America and November 4 in Europe. The bundle will include a digital copy of Assassin's Creed Unity and Assassin's Creed Black Flag. The digital version of AC Unity will not be useable until the game releases on November 11. The bundle with Kinect will be $499 and the bundle without Kinect will be $399.
- Blizzard revealed that World of Warcraft gained 600,000 subscribers recently due to the upcoming release of the Warlords of Draenor expansion. Blizzard also shared that 7.4 million total subscribers are playing the game.
- A recent update to Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor has added a photo mode where players can pause the game and create photos to share with others.
- The Master Quest DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors was released this week. The DLC adds a new Adventure Mode map with new weapons and costumes, five new Legend Mode scenarios, as well as the ability to go into battle with Epona.
- Nintendo has begun allowing people to preorder and purchase digital copies of certain games from their website.
- The October system update for the Xbox One was released this week. The latest update adds smoother functionality to the Snap Center such as being able to read and respond to messages and see your friends list while playing a game. The update also features DLNA support and more.
- Project Cars has been delayed until March 17, 2015 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
