Weekly Wrap Up! (9/12/14)


- Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has been delayed on the Xbox 360 and PS3 until November 18 in North America and November 21 in Europe. The delay is to allow developers more time to polish the game. The Xbox One and PS4 versions are still releasing on September 30.

- Warner Bros. may be releasing their own digital streaming service like EA Access. The program is known as WB Play and is said to be a game publishing platform for consoles, PC, and mobile games. No official announcement from Warner Bros. has been made.

- Driveclub has officially gone gold and will be ready to release on October 7 in North America, October 8 in Europe and Australia, and October 10 in the UK. 

- Sega announced that Alien: Isolation has gone gold and is ready for its October 7 release date.


- Ubisoft announced they will be releasing Assassin's Creed: The American Saga on October 3 in Europe and October 23 in the United States. Assassin's Creed: The American Saga includes Assassin's Creed 3, Assassin's Creed Liberation, and Assassin's Creed Black Flag. It will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

- Microsoft revealed the October system update for the Xbox One. The big features of the update include double tapping the Xbox button on the controller to access the game DVR, friends list, messages, achievements, battery life, and clock. Also, the update will include DLNA support so people can stream videos to the console from a computer. Finally, people will be able to use their smartphone as a universal remote to control the console, TV, cable or satelite box with the SmartGlass Universal Remote function.  

- Batman Arkham Knight will now release on June 2, 2015 despite rumors of it releasing in February. Warner Bros. also announced two special editions of the game. The limited edition will cost $99 and include an art book, steel game case, a Batman Memorial Statue, a limited edition Arkham Knight comic book, and three character skins. The Batmobile Edition will cost $199 include everything in the limited edition as well as a batmobile statue.


- A leaked image showed a listing for Rocksmith 2014 coming to the Xbox One and PS4. No official word on if the game will indeed release on the Xbox One or PS4.

- Telltale Games announced that a retail version of their game The Walking Dead Seasons 1 and 2 will release on Xbox One and PS4 in October. Also, the first season of The Wolf Among Us will release for Xbox One and PS4 in November.

 - EA Sports announced that they have delayed the release of NBA 15 from October 7 to October 28 in order to fine tune the game.

- Nintendo confirmed that the New Nintendo 3DS will be region locked, just like the current 3DS. The New Nintendo 3DS will come in standard and XL sizes, faster computer, analog stick, and will release in Japan on October 11. A North America release date has not been announced yet.


- The season pass for Sunset Overdrive will include access to three game add-ons that include new bosses, locations, stories, character outfits, and more. No price has been revealed as of now.

- Watch Dogs for the Wii U will finally release on November 18 in North America and November 21 in the UK.

- Activision revealed that they shipped over $500 million worth of copies of Destiny to stores worldwide on launch day. There has been no word on how many copies have actually been sold.

- Techland has moved the release date of Dying Light from February 2015 to January 2015.

- Grand Theft Auto V will officially release on the Xbox One and PS4 on November 18, but the PC version has been delayed until January 27. Check out the latest trailer below.
