First Footage of Destiny on Xbox One

While Destiny is a multi-platform game it's no doubt that the game has been shown more on the PlayStation 4 than the other consoles. Sony has made sure they clearly voiced how Destiny on the PS4 and PS3 contains exclusive DLC and has been a kind of "highlighted" game for their fall 2014 lineup. That's not to say that Destiny will be any less of a game on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 though. Of course the first thing people jumped to was that the resolution and frame rate of the Xbox One version would be less than the PS4 version. However, last month at E3 Bungie announced that due to the June XDK (Xbox Development Kit) they would be able to run Destiny at 1080p on the Xbox One.

Now, personally I do not care about the whole "resolution gate" topic that still plagues video game sites, forums, and other online discussions. That being said, it's still apparently an "issue" with some gamers. The Destiny beta will be running at 900p on the Xbox One because it's from an earlier build of the game that had to be finished in order for the beta's release. As seen in the following video from IGN, a graphics engineer from Bungie states clearly that the full version of Destiny will be running at 1080p and 30 frames per second on the Xbox One, which is the same as the PS4 version. What it really comes down to is that Destiny is a fantastic game and will be awesome no matter what console you are playing it on. Get Destiny, play it with your friends, and have a great time.
