Weekly Wrap Up! (6/27/14)

- The release date for Metro: Redux has officially been announced. It will be releasing on August 26 in North America and August 29 in Europe. You can buy each game digitally for $24.99 or get both games in a physical box set for $49.99. Metro: Redux will be available for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

- Sony shared more information on the PS4 exclusive DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight. The Scarecrow Nightmare Pack will feature new missions and allow players to use the new batmobile in these missions.

- PopCap's surprisingly fun and addicting game Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare is now available for the PC, and includes a new co-op multiplayer map called "Jewel Junction."

- Resogun's first DLC is now available in the PlayStation store. The DLC includes the survivalist mode that puts players against waves of enemies in a new level, and also the demolition game mode that has an explosive ball bouncing challenge.

- We all knew the Destiny beta was coming first on the PS4 and PS3 (July 17 to be exact). In a trailer on the Xbox One's dashboard, we now know the Destiny beta will be coming to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 in late July. There's been no official word on how late in July that will be.

- Creative Assembly announced that Alien: Isolation will run at 1080p on both Xbox One and PS4.

- A new PS4 bundle was listed on Amazon France's website and Sony has confirmed it. The bundle includes a copy of The Last of Us: Remastered, and will be released in Europe on July 30 for €429.99.
- The release date for the First Light DLC for Infamous: Second Son was listed on the PlayStation Store for $14.99 and a release date of August 26. The First Light DLC allows players to play as Fetch (Abigail Walker) and delve into part of her dark past.

- Sony announced the free PlayStation Plus titles for July. PS+ subscribers will get TowerFall Ascension and Strider for the PS4. The PS3 will get Dead Space 3 and Vessel, while the PS Vita will get Muramasa Rebirth and Doki-Doki Universe.

- Machine Games, the developers of Wolfenstein: The New Order, have stated that they already have a clear idea of what they want to do for a sequel to the game. Nothing official about a sequel has been confirmed though.

- Respawn Entertainment detailed information for Titanfall's most recent update. The fourth update includes the new game mode Marked for Death where a random player on each team is marked and teammates must work to protect them while also hunting down the marked enemy player. Also included in the update are 14 new titan burn cards, insignias to customize your titans, and various matchmaking, balancing, and bug fixes. - Xbox announced the free Games With Gold titles for July. Xbox Live Gold members will get Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood will carry over from this month on the Xbox One. The Xbox 360 will get Gotham City Imposters and BattleBlock Theater.

- Do you love your video game controllers to be different colors? Well rejoice because the "Wave Blue" and urban camouflage DualShock 4 controllers will be releasing in North America on September 30 and will retail for $60 according to Amazon.

- The vehicular combat game Zombie Driver: Ultimate Edition is available on the Xbox One Game Store for $15. Developer Exor Studios said that the ultimate edition runs in 1080p and 60 frames per second, and also has more zombies, weapons, a new "retro" camera angle, and all previous DLC is included.
