Xbox One News!
Microsoft announced several new features and updates for the Xbox One today. Here's the rundown...
In a somewhat surprising announcement, Microsoft announced that beginning on June 9, gamers will be able to buy a Xbox One without the Kinect for $399. This of course will put the Xbox One at the same price point as the PS4. Microsoft said they will continue to sell the Xbox One with Kinect included, but the Kinect will also be sold as a separate add-on. Microsoft announced that their Games With Gold program is finally coming to the Xbox One. Starting in June, Xbox One owners (with a Gold subscription) will be able to download Halo: Spartan Assault and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood for free. Also, Deals with Gold will be coming to the Xbox One. This will give anyone with a Gold account discounts to games and other items in the online store. Finally, Microsoft announced that a Gold subscription will no longer be required to access media apps such as Netflix, Twitch, HBO Go, and others. This also applies to the Xbox 360.
