Weekly Wrap Up! (5/16/14)

- 343 Industries have finally announced that Halo 5: Guardians will release on the Xbox One in the fall of 2015. It was also mentioned that the game will run in 60 frames per second and on dedicated servers.

- Microsoft announced that they will be selling Xbox One without the Kinect starting June 9 for $399. The Kinect included Xbox One will continue to be sold.

- Microsoft revealed that a Gold account will not be required to stream media apps such as Netflix, Hulu Plus, HBO Go, etc.

- Nintendo has stated that they already have a clear plan on their next console after the Wii U, but they do not plan on moving forward towards releasing it until current Wii U owners are satisfied.

- Ubisoft revealed that Watch Dogs will run at 900p on the PS4 and 792p on the Xbox One. Both the PS4 and Xbox One versions will run at 30 frames per second.

- Steve Spielberg's Halo television series is set to debut on the Xbox One around the same time as Halo 5: Guardians launches next fall.

- Take Two Interactive announced that Grand Theft Auto 5 has sold over 33 million copies.

- BioWare revealed the Dragon Age: Inquisition exclusive Inquisitor's Edition. The Inquisitor's Edition will include a fake reptile skin case, cloth map, lock tool set, 72 tarot card pack, quill and inkpot, inquisitor badge, journal, Orlesian coins, and a steelbook game case. The Inquisitor's Edition will cost $170.
- Blizzard announced that Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition will officially be releasing on the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360 on August 19. The Ultimate Evil Edition will include the original Diablo 3 game, the Reaper of Souls expansion, and various other new social features. The PS4 and Xbox One version will be $59.99, while the PS3 and Xbox 360 version will be $39.99. Characters from the Xbox 360 or PS3 version will be transferable to the Xbox One or PS4 version too.

- Respawn Entertainment released the first DLC pack for Titanfall this week. The Expedition pack gives players access to three new maps called: War Games, Runoff, and Swampland. The Expedition DLC pack is $10 on its own, or is part of the $25 season pass.

- Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 4 will release on November 18 for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Far Cry 4 will be set in the fictional Himalayan region called Kyrat.

- Ubisoft announced that The Division has officially been delayed until 2015.

- A new Titanfall app has been released for iOS, Android, and Windows 8 devices. The free app will allow users to read up on everything about the Titanfall universe. Xbox One owners can use the app to keep track of their stats and use it as a second screen and view a live map or scoreboard during gameplay.

- Killzone: Shadow Fall will be getting more DLC in June. The Intercept DLC will add a four player co-op mode and the new combat roles: Assault, Marksman, Tactician, and Medic.

- In more Halo news, it is rumored that a Halo: Master Chief Collection is coming to the Xbox One this year. The collection will include remastered versions of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4.

- Wolfenstein: The New Order is releasing on May 20 for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Check out the launch trailer while you wait for it.
