Weekly Wrap Up! (4/18/14)

- Gearbox Software released the final DLC for Borderlands 2 earlier this week. The DLC titled "Sir Hammerlock and the Son of Crawmerax" features a new story with quests as players have to save Sir Hammerlock from the evil Crawmerax Jr.. Also the DLC gives each character a beach themed outfit. The DLC costs $3.

- The top down zombie shooter Dead Nation released on the PS Vita this week. If you already own the PS3 version of Dead Nation you can download the PS Vita version for free. If not, you can buy the PS Vita version in the PlayStation Store for $8, and the Road to Devastation DLC is $4.

- Respawn confirmed that while players will need to pay for Titanfall's three map packs, all other new features and modes will be free.

- A physical retail copy of Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition will be released in stores on May 16. No actual price has been given at this time.

- Naughty Dog released details for the final DLC for The Last of Us. The Grounded Pack will add new maps, weapons, and skills for the game's multiplayer. The DLC also adds a new single player difficulty option called "Grounded Mode", which has been described as the hardest challenge players will face.

- The latest DLC for Killzone Mercenary will allow players to play the game's multiplayer offline with bots, and you can still earn multiplayer trophies this way. The DLC costs $2.49.  

- Octodad: Dadliest Catch is finally releasing on the PS4 on April 22. The game will cost $15 and will be 20% off the first week for PlayStation Plus members. Check out the launch trailer below.


- The new DLC for Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare has been released. The "Zomboss Down" DLC includes a new map, character abilities, customizations, increased level cap to 30 and more. Oh yeah, and it's free!

- Sony is supposedly looking into giving a discount on the PS4 version of The Last of Us to anyone who already owns the PS3 version. There's been no official word on if the discount will happen or how much of a discount it could be.

- Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut is now available for Mac through Steam.

- Sony revealed the details for the firmware 1.70 update for the PS4. The latest update will add the SHAREfactory app that gives players new ways to customize their gameplay videos and upload them to Facebook or a USB device. The update also allows players to turn off the HDCP option to record straight from your HDMI output, as well as other additions. 

- A recent patch to inFAMOUS: Second Son allows players to remove the game's HUD, change the time of day once the game is beaten, cap the frame rate to 30 fps, and a photo mode with options to capture even better in game photos.

- Sony announced that as of April 6 over seven million PS4s have been sold worldwide, and that 20.5 million games have been sold both in physical and digital copies as of April 13.

- Telltale Games announced that The Walking Dead: Season 2 will be available on the PS Vita on April 22. Players can buy the episodes individually for $5, or buy the season pass to get all the episodes for $20.

- Another trailer for the horror game Daylight was released. Daylight is set to launch on the PS4 and PC on April 29. Check out the trailer but watch it with the lights on, or in the middle of the day...or both!
