Weekly Wrap Up! (2/28/14)

- Developer Sucker Punch announced that Infamous: Second Son has officially gone gold and will be ready to release on the PS4 on March 21.

- Sony revealed that over 300,000 PS4s were sold during the launch in Japan.

- Blizzard announced that players who pre-order Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls on Battle.net or redeem a retail game key before March 31 will receive two in game bonuses. The bonuses are the Wings of Valor and access to the demon hunter Valla (to use in Heroes of The Storm).

- Microsoft announced that the ability to stream via Twitch will be available on the Xbox One starting March 11 with the release of Titanfall. Players will also have the ability to join a Twitch broadcaster's party mid stream.

- Respawn Entertainment announced via Twitter that Titanfall has gone gold. This is a good thing seeing how the game is set to release on the Xbox One in less than two weeks!

- Despite rumors, Ubisoft has said that Assassin's Creed 5 will not be set in Japan.

- Nintendo will be shutting down the Wi-Fi service for the Wii, DS, and DSi on May 20. This will diable the online features for games on those platforms, but the online shopping channels will still be functioning.

- Microsoft announced a special limited Titanfall Xbox One bundle. The bundle includes everything in the standard Xbox One bundle (console, wireless controller, Kinect sensor, chat headset, one month Xbox Live) and includes a digital copy of Titanfall all for the same $499.99 price. The Xbox One Titanfall bundle can be pre-ordered through the Microsoft store and Amazon.
- Konami revealed a price cut to the physical copies of Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes for the Xbox One and PS4 from $40 to $30.

- Xbox One owners will need to have 20GB of hard drive space to install Titanfall.

- Bethesda has announced that Wolfenstein: The New Order will run natively at 1080p and 60 fps on both Xbox One and PS4. Also, Square Enix announced that both the Xbox One and PS4 version of Murdered: Soul Suspect runs at a native 1080p and 60fps.

- A new racing wheel for the upcoming Wii U game Mario Kart 8 has been revealed and supposedly will release on May 20.

- Activision announced that the Call of Duty Elite service will shut down on February 28. The service is being replaced with the new Clan Wars service for Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Activision encouraged fans to download the new Call of Duty app.

- Lego: The Hobbit will release for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, PS Vita, 3DS, and PC on April 11.

- The Steam Family Sharing is now available to all Steam users. This allows Steam users to have up to 10 devices and five accounts have access to all the games on their Steam account. Only one user can be signed in at a time. Some games that use CD keys or have specific accounts (Origin, Uplay, etc.) may not be available to use in the Steam Family Sharing. 

- Get ready to be freaked out again because Outlast for the PS4 and PC is getting some DLC in April. Titled The Whistleblower, the DLC allows players to take the role of Waylon Park who is responsible of leaking the gruesome details of Mount Massive Asylum.
