Weekly Wrap Up! (2/14/14)

- The Wii U version of Watch Dogs has been delayed but no specific date has been given at this time. The other versions of Watch Dogs are still scheduled to release sometime between April and June.

- Despite good reviews, Ubisoft announced that the sales of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag have been lower than Assassin's Creed III the same time when it released.

- The God of War Collection will be released for the PS Vita on May 6 for $29.99.

- Sony announced the the PS Vita slim model will be released in North America sometime this spring. A Borderlands 2 PS Vita bundle was also announced that will cost $199.99 and will release this spring.

- Microsoft announced they will be releasing a Xbox One stereo headset and the headset adapter in early March. The stereo headset will cost $80, while the headset adapter will cost $25.

- Two open betas for the PS4 version of Final Fantasy XIV have been announced. The first beta will be from February 22 - March 3. The second open beta will be on April 4. The first beta will not allow players to import their PS3 or PC characters, and any character created will be cleared when the first beta ends. Players will be able to port characters into the second beta, and any new characters will transfer to the full game. Final Fantasy XIV for the PS4 releases on April 14.

- Bungie revealed one of the ways players will be able to travel in Destiny known as the Shrike. Players will be able to upgrade their Shrike and it will come in a different color scheme depending on what character class you play. It looks like a futuristic speeder bike and there is nothing wrong with that!
 - Konami released a demo for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

- PS3 owners who pre-order Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 from the PlayStation Network will receive Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD for free.

- After several delays Ubisoft announced that South Park: The Stick of Truth has officially gone gold! The game will release on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on March 4 in North America, March 6 in Australia, and March 7 in Europe.

- Namco Bandai revealed that players who pre-order the Black Armor or collector's edition of Dark Souls 2 will get early access to weapons that normally would be found hours into the game. Those players will get to pick from five weapons and the corresponding shield.

- Respawn Entertainment worked with Microsoft to release a patch for the Xbox One controller before the release of Titanfall. The update is suppose to make the analog thumb sticks less "twitchy" according to Respawn Entertainment.

- The Hitman series is getting a little smaller. Square Enix Montreal announced they have been working on Hitman Go, which is a turn based strategy game for smart phones and tablets. No release date or pricing had been announced at this time.

- During the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that Mario Kart 8 will release for the Wii U on May 30.

- Bethesda announced that their survival horror game The Evil Within will release on August 26 in North America and August 29 in Europe. It will be available on the Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
