Weekly Wrap Up! (1/17/14)

- The developers of the horror game Outlast announced on the game's Facebook page that it will be coming free to PlayStation Plus subscribers in February. This only applies for the PS4.

- Drew McCoy, a producer at Respawn Entertainment, stated that it has been difficult marketing Titanfall since it doesn't have a single player component. He said instead of the traditional single player story trailers, the team has focused on longer in game clips to show how the game actually moves and works.

- Bohemia Interactive announced that the Day Z alpha sold over one million copies in the first four weeks it was released.

- It was rumored that The Lord of the Rings Online would be shutting down, but Turbine clarified they are continuing to support the game and renewed the license until 2017.

- Guerrilla Games announced the names of the first two free multiplayer maps they will be releasing for Killzone: Shadow Fall. The maps are called "The Cruiser" which is a medium to close range map, while the other map is called "The Hangar" and is a larger, wide opened map. No release date has been give at this time.

- EA announced that Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare has been delayed for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but only for a week. It will now release on February 25 in North America and February 27 in Europe.

- Microsoft announced they will be releasing a Titanfall themed wireless Xbox One controller. It will be released the same time as the game on March 11 in North America and March 13 in Europe.

- A listing from Best Buy Canada and UK retailer Argos shows a listing for Diablo III on the Xbox One. Blizzard commented by saying their goal is to get Diablo III out to as many players as possible, but did not confirm the Xbox One version.

- HBO announced that they will be releasing the HBO Go app on the PS3 and PS4 sometime soon.

- Valve shared that they are wanting to offer digital video, television episodes, and music services to the SteamOS.

- Telltale Games announced that the second episode of The Wolf Among Us will release the first week in February. Telltale also added that the rest of the episodes will not release as far apart as the first two episodes have.   

- Infinity Ward announced the first dlc for Call of Duty: Ghosts. The Onslaught dlc pack will include a new chapter to the Extinction mode, as well as four new multiplayer maps. Also, the new Maverick assault rifle and new sniper rifle will be included in the Onslaught pack. It will be released on January 28th on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One first, and will release on other platforms sometime later. Check out the developer interview video below!
