Weekly Wrap Up! (8/23/13)

- Mark your calendars because Sony finally revealed that the PS4 will be released in the US and Canada on November 15th, and Europe on November 29th.

- Sony announced that people who buy PS3 copies of Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Watch Dogs, and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, will be able to purchase the PS4 digital version at a discounted price. The discounted price will be determined by the publisher.

- Sony has said that 33 games (both physical disc and PS exclusive downloadable games) will be released for the PS4 from the launch to the end of the year. Also, Sony stated that more than 180 titles are in development for the PS4.

- Konami announced that a HD remake of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate is coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3. A PC version is being considered but there are no plans for a PS Vita version. The HD remake will be available on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Arcade on October 31st.

- Fable Legends was unveiled at Gamescom and is a four player co-op adventure. The trailer shown revealed four playable characters and is set 400 years before the other Fable games. A fifth playable character, the villain, plays out like a dungeon master and can place enemies, traps, and control the hero's quests. No release date was given.

- Microsoft announced that people who pre-order the Xbox One in Europe will receive a free copy of FIFA 14.

- DICE confirmed that the Battlefield 4 beta will begin in October. Access to the beta is available with a purchase of Medal of Honor: Warfighter, but other ways to get into the beta will be possible. Specific details and dates have not been released at this time.

- The Xbox One version of Tom Clancy's The Division will receive exclusive content. No specific details on what that exclusive content will be were given.

- It was confirmed at Gamescom that Borderlands 2 will be coming to the PS Vita, but no release date was given at this time.

- The wildly popular game Minecraft will be available at launch on the PS4, and will also be coming to the PS3 and PS Vita.

- Guerrilla Games announced that multiplayer dlc maps for Killzone: Shadowfall will be free.

- Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls Online will cost players $14.99 per month. Just like other subscription based games, players will have to start paying the monthly fee after the first 30 days.
