Weekly Wrap Up! (7/19/13)

- Turn 10 Studios has stated that players will have to connect to the internet the first time they play Forza 5. The one time connection is to download the Drivatars and content such as tracks and cars. The developers also stated these downloadable items will be added as late as possible, and will be like free dlc for day one. After the first connection you can play the game offline, but if you want to update and download new features, you have to connect again.

- Microsoft officially secured rights to the domains XboxOne.com and XboxOne.net.

- Sony announced that the servers for the games MAG, SOCOM 4, and SOCOM Confrontation will be shut down on January 28, 2014.

- Microsoft announced that both Xbox One digital and disc based games will be playable during their installation. Once only a small part of the data is downloaded players will be able to start playing the game before it's completely done downloading/installing. Also, any digital Xbox One games will be accessible on any Xbox One console.

- The $130 limited edition of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was announced. The limited edition includes the soundtrack, Steel Book case, a pirate flag, art book, and a 18 inch Edward Kenway statue. The limited edition will be available for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
- Sony confirmed that wireless PS3 headsets will work with the PS4.

- The limited edition of Watch Dogs has been announced. The $130 limited edition includes a Steel Book case, soundtrack, replica of Aiden's vigilante mask, art book, and a 9 inch Aiden Pearce statue. The limited edition will be available for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3.
