As gamers (no matter what the age) we look at games we've played in the past. Some of them were good and some were bad. I always like to look back at the games I played as a kid and remember how much fun I had playing them. The games were simply yet so much fun. One game I think about every now and then is Hugo's House of Horrors. Now some of you may be too young to remember this game, and some of you who are old enough may not have even heard of it. Hugo's House of Horrors was a computer game created in 1990 for DOS and Windows systems. It was developed by Gray Designs Associates.
You controlled Hugo by using the arrow keys and by typing commands to figure out puzzles in the game. The story is basic. You enter a haunted house after your babysitting girlfriend Penelope has disappeared. The graphics were simple but fun and the 8-bit style music was kicking. The game was full of humor and at the time I found some parts of the game to be a little challenging (I was 7 so back off). Gray Designs Associates also created two more Hugo games. In 1991 they released Hugo II: Whodunit?, and in 1992 they released Hugo III: Jungle of Doom! I have fond memories of popping that floppy disc into the computer and playing away. You can download these games from websites like: www.dosgamesarchive.com and www.classicdosgames.com. If you haven't played these games go try them out and take a trip back. Check out the videos below!
This next video is some what of a speed run of the game. This will show you how the game is played and how to complete it (SPOILER ALERT!).
