Weekly Wrap Up! (1/20/12)
- Resident Evil 6 is coming! The latest chapter in the long lived horror series will be released on November 20th on the Xbox 360 and PS3. A PC version will be released later. RE6 will feature both single player and co-op gameplay. Amazon, Gamestop, and Best Buy will each have an exclusive map as a pre-order incentive.
- New patch for Skyrim! Bethesda has listed all of patch 1.4's fixes on their website. A lot of the update will be fixes to quests and bug glitches. Bethesda has not released an official date for the patch, but says they are planning to have it finalized next week. They are also working on the creating kit for modders (PC only) which could be ready as soon as the end of January.
- Don't sign up for that beta! 343 Industries have commented that if you receive any e-mail, or find a website with a sign up for the Halo 4 beta that it is a fake. No official details have been given on when a beta will take place. So don't sign up for the Halo 4 beta right now.
- Rumors are swirling that Infinity Ward is working on the next Call of Duty game for next-gen consoles. They've posted a job opening for a senior designer, software engineer, environment artist, and game designer. This is making people think that these new hires will be for the next-gen Call of Duty game.
- The demo for Mass Effect 3 will be released on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on February 14th. The Xbox 360 version of the game features voice commands via the Kinect. You can say what kind of weapon you want Commander Shepherd to switch to, tell where you want your teammates to move to, and what attacks they should use. Time to start shouting at your television again!
- New dlc for Dead Island to be released. The Ryder White single player campaign add on has you playing as Ryder White (of course) before the events of the main campaign story. It will be released for $10.00 on the PS3 on January 31st, and on the PC and Xbox 360 on February 1st for $10.00 or 800 Microsoft Points.
