Weekly Wrap Up! (11/18/11)

- Despite the rumors, developer Frank O' Connor has confirmed that Halo 4 will be coming to the Xbox 360 and not a future console. It has also been mentioned that the game will use a modified core of the Halo game engine.

- The long awaited DLC for Dead Island will be released on November 22nd. The Bloodbath Arena will include four different arenas to fight off hordes of zombies either solo or co-op. A new weapon called the brain wave will be included. If you pre-ordered the game on Steam or purchased the special edition the DLC is free. For everyone else it will be 800 Microsoft points, or $9.99 on the PS3 and Steam.

- Developer EA has banned hundreds of gamers for using an experience boosting bug on Battlefield 3. The bug allowed players to team up an infinitely fix a bot while playing as the engineer class. EA states that they have a zero tolerance for cheating and the offending players' accounts have been banned and stats have been wiped. A fix for the bug is on it's way.

- Modern Warfare 3 made over $775 million in just five days. Also, there were 3.3 million people logged onto Xbox Live on day one, and at the end of the first day 7 million hours of the game had been played.

- Reports are coming in that dev kits for the Xbox 720 will be sent to developers by the end of the year. This fuels the rumors that the newest Xbox console will be ready for a holiday 2012 release.

- Nintendo has confirmed that the next update to the 3DS will allow developers to create paid DLC for 3DS games. Specific details on what kind of DLC that will be have not been announced.
