Weekly Wrap Up! (10/21/11)
- Microsoft has announced two new Xbox 360 holiday bundles. The first bundle will come with a 250GB Xbox 360, a Kinect, Kinect Adventures, Monkey See Monkey Do, and three months of Xbox Live. This bundle will retail at $399. The second bundle will include a 250GB Xbox 360, Fable III, a code to download the full version of Halo Reach, and three months Xbox Live. This bundle will retail for $299. Get those Christmas lists ready!
- Sony has announced a release date for their new handheld Vita. It will be releasing in Japan this December, but will release everywhere else on February 22, 2012.
- The demo for Need for Speed: The Run was released on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
- EA announced that the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 3 will have a second disc that will contain a hi-resolution texture pack. Basically, 360 owners will want to install the texture pack disc onto their hard drive to enhance the textures and overall graphics of the game. If you don't have a hard drive (why wouldn't you?!) you don't have to install the texture pack disc. However, developers stated if you don't the game will be more 'standard definition.'
- Blizzard announced that players who sign up for 12 months of World of Warcraft with the season pass will receive Diablo 3 for free. This will also guarantee access to the next World of Warcraft expansion beta.
- BioWare has announced that a demo for Mass Effect 3 will be available sometime in January 2012. The demo will feature sections for single player and multiplayer co-op.
- Hulu Plus will be coming to the Wii and 3DS, which will allow streaming of thousands of television shows for $7.99 a month.
