Gaming Spotlight: Gears of War 3. Die Locust, die!

     If you're a fan of Gears of War you no doubt have been anxiously waiting for the release of the third game in the series. You probably took part in the beta earlier this year and tried your hardest to unlock the special weapons for the full release version. If you've never played any of the previous two games you really should. Gears of War is all about action. You want loads of sweet guns, grenades, nasty enemies, and large, grizzled men in armor? Eh, maybe not the last part. Whatever your flavor is, Gears of War 3 has you covered!

     You still play as Marcus Fenix and the third game takes place eighteen months after the second game. You are still raging war against the evil Locust hordes, but this time a new enemy is emerging. From within the planet this new breed of evil is infecting everything. It's up to you and your team (females included this time) to stop the evil forces and save the human race before everything is destroyed. Like the second game, there will be competitive multiplayer, co-op campaign, and the beloved horde mode returns. In addition, there's a new twist on horde mode called beast mode. In beast mode you play as the Locust and hunt down and kill the humans. The final game in the trilogy looks like it won't be short on explosions, firefights, destruction, and of course an amazing good time! Gears of War 3 is available now and only on the Xbox 360.
