Gaming Spotlight: Resistance 3. So many Chimera!

     To me, the Resistance series has always done something right. Each game depicts destruction and a bleak outlook in a war against the alien horde known as the Chimera. The landscape in each level shows crumbled buildings, homes, and the death/destruction of war. The third game in the series looks just as dark. It takes place in an alternate 1950s USA. America has fallen to the Chimeran forces and the remaining survivors have fled and are in hiding. You play as soldier Joseph Capelli and it's your job to fight till your last breath to destroy the Chimera. 

     Resistance 3 will also feature online and offline co-op through the campaign, as well as online multiplayer. The multiplayer is progression based and players will be able to use earned points to build their own customized loadouts. The developers over at Insomniac Games held a closed beta almost two months ago and it received a pretty solid response from the public. This week the public beta can now be downloaded from the Playstation Store. Resistance 3 is being released on September 6th and only on the PS3. Check out the trailer below!
