Me likey open betas!

     The Chimera are back...again. If you're a fan of the Resistance series you no doubt have been following all the juicy details and videos posted about the latest edition Resistance 3. Fans of the series will also be thrilled to know that Insomniac Games announced a release date for the open beta of Resistance 3 at Comic-Con this week. The multiplayer open beta will begin sometime during the first week of August. It will contain the two game modes team deathmatch and chain reaction . If you've never played the first two Resistance games you can get them pretty cheap now for the PS3. Or better yet, take part in the new open beta for free. The full game is being released on September 6th and will only be on the PS3. Check out the awesome video clip of Resistance 3 in action!

**UPDATE** Anyone who bought a copy of SOCOM 4 will have access to the beta on August 4th. Playstation Plus subscribers will get to play the beta on August 23rd. There's no word if non Playstation Plus subscribers will get access to the beta...boo!
