Gameplay footage: The Elder Scrolls Online
Encase you forgot or just didn't know, QuakeCon started this week and some new games have been shown off. One such game is The Elder Scrolls Online. A trailer and a little footage was shared back in June at E3, but for the first time, the developers at Bethesda and ZeniMax Online Studios gave a live showing of the game in action.
The game is being played on a PC, and it's easy to see how much detail is being put into the game because it looks great. If you've played Skyrim you will feel right at home. The character creation and customization looks the same and just as robust. The video shows some of the skill customization, grouping up with friends, entering dungeons to fight enemies, and of course gathering some sweet loot. Oh, and encase you were wondering, yes you can turn into a vampire or werewolf.
Some other interesting and great points made were that despite the class you choose you can use any weapon and any type of armor in the game. Just like in other Elder Scrolls games, you will be able to join up with guilds like Mages, Fighters, etc. Not only do you get your traditional class skills to level up, but you will unlock sub skills based upon any guild you join. Also, when grouping the loot is specific to each person. That way you don't have to fight over who gets what. Very nice! But enough talking, watch the video footage below (courtesy of IGN) and get ready to drool. The Elder Scrolls Online is scheduled to release in Spring 2014 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC/Mac.

However, it was a solitary, single player game. If you were going to do a Leroy Jenkins you wouldn't be putting the rest of your MMO team-mates at risk. http://www.esohut.com/forums
